Meet Tommy Whitelaw

Tommy Whitelaw, from Scotland, sent me an email on Twitter about his campaign across his country to raise awareness on Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Here is Tommy’s statement from his website

Tommy on tour Film Now on Websites Around the World,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Good Morning
Big thanks to Fight Dementia Australia, Dementia Aware New York and Dementia Today of  California for getting in touch and agreeing to put the film on their websites.
I sit late at night furiously typing the words dementia and Alzheimer’s followed by a country into Google, and sending them my film and blog I am tired but extremely happy to say lots of national awareness groups throughout the world are getting back in touch to say the are putting the film on their sites, sharing with others and sending my blog out.
Thank you all for helping raise awareness.

I’ve added Tommy’s short film, presented to Deputy First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon at the Scottish Parliament, to the right-hand column of my webpage.  It is called Video of the Week: Tommy on Tour. The film is about Tommy’s campaign to raise awareness for people with dementia and their carers. Please watch the video, visit Tommy’s website, and support Tommy on this courageous fight against this awful disease.

You can also a watch the film here or forward the URL to other people to watch.

Tommy is my hero; he is also your hero too
